Re: STEP Response to Re-Opening
To Our Valued Clients:
Because of the circumstances surrounding COVID-19, we are taking the necessary steps to continue supporting your Environmental, Safety, & Health needs. The health and well-being of our clients and our employees has always been STEP’s top priority and is the premise for which our company was founded.
Even before the start of the pandemic, we took steps to ensure that our office was surpassing standards when it comes to maintaining a healthy working environment. We’ve now gone beyond this by including updates to our Infectious Control Program to cover sections specifically designed to prevent COVID-19 transmission.
Open Seminar Training
As the year progresses, we will resume in-person consulting and trainings on a schedule directed by our state’s governor and the CDC. To maintain a healthy learning space, we have the following guidelines in place:
-
Training sessions will be capped at no more than 8 participants
-
Our new classroom setup allows for social distancing seating. Tables will be spread out to enforce social distancing, and extra chairs will be removed so that participants can sit at an acceptable distance. At all times, the instructor will maintain the 6ft social distance requirements.
-
Before participants are allowed on site, they must answer a series of questions regarding travel and symptoms. We can send these to you ahead of the training time.
-
Participants will be required to have a non-contact health screening temperature check and will be required to wear a mask for the duration of the training.
-
Training participants are required to enter through the Training Room door at the side of the building. They are required to ONLY use the training room bathroom. These measures are put in place to limit outside reduce our employee contact.

Onsite Consulting
Consultants will be working with your company’s specific requirements for coming on site. Consultants will wear the previously required PPE along with facemask and disposable gloves.
As there are clients we partner with outside of Kentucky, it will be required that employees quarantine when returning from these out-of-state sites for 3-5 days.
Any trainings or meetings we are able to do remotely will be conducted in this manner. We have previously been conducting training through the Zoom™ platform in an online conferencing format.
Training Equipment
STEP equipment is used for various training sessions and has always followed a strict cleaning routine to ensure that no participants are put at risk. All equipment is disinfected and sanitized between each participant’s use and inspected for any irregularities. We will work to limit one set of training PPE to one participant for the entirety of their training. Along with working to limit equipment to one per person, disposable items are being used wherever possible to prevent items from being shared between participants.
On behalf of all of us at STEP, we are committed to being your partner in safety. We are working hard to keep our employees protected so that we can help you keep yours protected as well.
Thank you for the continued opportunity to allow STEP to serve you!
Sincerely,
The STEP Team
